SOLOS 2.
SOLO  6.
The title of this solo sums up most of the Steel Players that I know, ‘Crazy’ . There are quite a few , rather difficult phrases in this one, and is therefore suited best to a good intermediate to advanced player.
Almost all steel players want to eventually learn this one, but it is by no means easy to play. There are several advanced techniques and some fast picking and blocking which makes this one suitable for a very good intermediate to advanced player. It is the ever popular ‘Steel Guitar Rag’ .
SOLO  7.
This is a rather beautiful tune written by Mr Paul Franklin and played almost exactly the way he played it on the original recording. It is ‘Song For Sarah’ , and is suitable for intermediate players.
SOLO  8.
This solo is a medley of two tunes. It begins with ‘Rocky Top’ and then changes key as it goes into ‘Foggy Mountain Breakdown’ , and after three verses of this it goes back through the key change into ‘Rocky Top’ again.
Both tunes are individually difficult to master, they contain some banjo style rolls and other fast licks and phrases.  Definitely for the advanced player.
SOLO  9.
This is one for a good beginner  to intermediate player. There are a few phrases that will drive the ‘good beginners’ completely nuts, but that’s OK because then, you will fit right in with the rest of us.  It is the ever popular tune ‘Cold, Cold Heart’ .
SOLO  10.
More solos are in the pipe-line and will be added as soon as they are recorded and tabbed. Meanwhile, I hope you can find something of interest to you here.
