SOLOS 2
SOLOS.
This is the all-new, self penned, title track of the album ‘Islas Canarias’ , (Spanish for the Canary Islands). This solo would suit a very good beginner or intermediate player.
SOLO 1.
My own arrangement of the ever popular ‘Danny Boy’ . This solo would suit a reasonable beginner to intermediate player, it’s the first solo I ever learned to play.
SOLO 2.
This is a nice little medley of two tunes, starting with ‘Wild Side Of Life’ and going into ‘Your Cheating Heart’ and then back into ‘Wild Side Of Life’ again to finish. You need to be a good intermediate player to master this one.
SOLO 3.
The very first time I heard the steel guitar being played was at a friend’s house back in 1973, the record on the deck was ‘Together Again’ by Mr Buck Owens with the late Tom Brumley on pedal steel. This solo is based on that song and would suit a beginner or intermediate player.
SOLO 4.
There are very few solos which are suitable for beginners, but I think most good beginners can manage this one, but please don’t think it will be easy, because it won’t. This is a well-known song called ‘Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain’ .
SOLO 5.
Each solo course consists of one CD and one Tab Book. The CD begins with the solo played with backing followed by several rhythm tracks for you to work with.
