It is our intention to bring a range of Steel Guitar Courses to you, many of which will be designed for the beginner, plus more for the intermediate player and yet more for the advanced player. It is therefore hoped that all will benefit in some way from this site.
There are many hundreds of tutors on the international market, many are extremely good, but most assume that your playing level and understanding of music is quite good already.
Our courses start from the very beginning and progress through intermediate to advanced, so every level of player should be able to gain something from these courses.
On stage with the late Tom Keenan and his band ‘Legend’ in Pueblo Canario, Tenerife. (with the new Carter S10)
Initially, we will be offering you our own range of tutors, but we will also be looking at tutors written by other players too, and whenever we find something which will compliment our own range, we will arrange for these too to be made available through this site.
The first section covers Back-Up playing. This is how most of us were introduced to the steel guitar, listening to country music and wondering what made that beautiful sound in the background.
After this section you will find tutors to teach you how to play numerous solos. For those who are not in bands, this is often the only section of interest.
